Metal Jacketed Gaskets comprises an outer shell with a compressed fiber filler of metallic/non-metallic. With this filler material, the gasket gains resilience. However, the metal jacket preserves the temperatures, filler, resists pressures, and corrosion.
Metal jacketed gaskets are manufactured at S. P. Engineers. These Metal Jacketed Gaskets or double jacketed gaskets have used as heat exchanger gaskets, used in pumps, valves, etc. Gasket sealing is useful under smooth flange surface finish, high bolt loads, and flange flatness.

As being experienced Metal Jacketed Gasket Manufacturer, our Metal Jacketed Gaskets /double jacketed gaskets are constructed from the metallic category includes Aluminum, Soft Iron, Brass, Stainless Steel, Inconel, Copper, Monel, Carbon Steel, Nickel, etc. And when it comes to Non-Metallic classification, then comprises PTFE, Ceramic compressed fiber millboard, Tanged insert graphite, etc.
- S. P. Engineers offers various types of Metal (double) jacketed gaskets.
- Single Jacketed Gaskets:
Filler material contained in a metal jacket including the inside & outside diameter of the gasket.
Type | Construction | Use | Suitability |
SPCT 11 | One contact surface covered | Narrow flange widths in circular & non-circular configurations | |
SPCT 12 | Overlapped single jacketed type with filler enclosed on inside & outside diameter & on contact surfaces | Boiler, pumps, compressors, diesel & gasoline engines | High temperature gasket usage & narrow gasket width [6.4mm (min)] & nominal thickness 3.2mm |
- Double Jacketed Gaskets:
The filler material is contained by a two-piece metal jacket embracing both contact surfaces and both inside & outside diameters.
Metal Jacketed Gasket Dimensions:
- Width: As narrow as 8mm.
- Thickness: 3.2mm.
Type | Construction | Use | Suitability |
SPCT 111 | Both contact surface covered | Boiler gasket & Heat exchanger gaskets, | High pressure/ temperature gasket usage up to class 900 |
SPCT 112 | Metal jacket built of crumpled jacket as channel forms multi-seals across spine sealing face | Better resilience than Type 123 | – |
SPCT 113 | Double shell gasket with two reversed wrap-round shells . | Resistance to pressure Ease of handle | – |
